It made me glad I was a Canadian. I don't know what long-term effect it had on racial issues, though. Americans still have a lot of racial violence and animosity. Still, I doubt Sen. Obama would be a serious contender without <i>Roots</i>, This is a very important book. BTW, I have heard that there are those who will see to it that, if he is elected, Obama will not live long enough to take the oath of office. The madness continues.
