I forgot to mention the reference. Yes, Guru Granth Sahib, however much I've been exposed to, is quite all-encompassing.

Amrit, you impress me. Have you actually read the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and counted?

You might also mention how many times Har is there and Allah, as well. You are intelligent enough to realise that these are meant allegorically, of course.

Besides, these can help a Hindu become a good Hindu and a Muslim a good Muslim. SGGS Ji is truly universal and meant for all people who are open to its message. I'm afraid, though, it remains closed to those who are not.

It also contains slokas/devotional/inspirational verses written by more than one Muslim 'pir'. This despite the fact that the history of the Sikhs was tragically blood-spattered by conflict with the Mughals. The Sikh gurus were truly eclectic bhakti saints who culled good things from every religion they came in touch with... genuine inspirations for a truly secular (which is NOT synonymous with either ignorant or irreligious) India!
