Anyway, I have these 10 questions that I wish our media was more forcefully asking the authorities. It would be a great favor if you could spread these around. Feel free to edit these or add your own.

Mumbai attacks were a terrible tragedy. Even though some heads are rolling in the govt, that is purely keeping in mind the next year’ general elections. The real tragedy in our country is that even after these horrifying attacks on our sovereignty, there won’t be any lessons learned and life will be back to normal for our govt. I have these 10 questions that I wish media had been forcefully asking the authorities.

1. Why didn’t the police from all nearby police stations and Police Headquarters!!! come to the rescue of public within minutes of the first shootout?
2. Why didn’t the armed policemen inside CST shoot back at militants?
3. Why didn’t the govt. utilize a commercial airline’s help to transport NSG men ASAP?
4. Why don’t we know even now how many militants were there in all?
5. Why did the govt. not make a statement even after 24 hrs of siege?
6. Every time there is an attack inside India, our politicians and govt. authorities are quick to blame Pakistan. Pakistan, in all there honesty however facetious it may be, has asked for solid proof in each and every incident. However, our authorities have never formally and professionally provided them any proof; why?
7. Exactly why do we use many of our special forces to give high level security to politicians? Why and who do they need security from? Do people understand that you and I and everyone else is paying every month for their security while facing the security threats ourselves?
8. Why is media not asking Raj Thackeray or Bal Thackeray any tough questions on these attacks? They have been very vocal in the recent past about so many things in Maharashtra and media has been trampling over each other to cover them.
9. Is the Profit & Loss Statement for the central govt. and Maharashtra govt. available to the public to check the areas where my money is being spent since it is definitely not being spent in procuring bullet proof jackets and latest arms and ammunition for our security forces?
10. I am extremely curious to hear from Ex Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Mr.Patil as to what kind of tragedy it will take for him to feel responsible and shake his conscious. I’m curious because what he said is how each and every politician in our country feels about any tragedy and the public in general……trivial and petty!!!
