Bizarre Biblical tales

And this is my favorite:

It’s a big day for Moses. He’s finally going to meet God face to face and is giddy with anticipation. Soon the time comes and Moses positions himself on a rock ready to see the divine creator himself. But God backs out at the last minute claiming that no man can see his face and live. However, he has a solution. He will let Moses have a peek at his backside, “And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.” Moses must be heartbroken. He was hoping to see God’s face not his bottom! Imagine explaining that to the wife: “Oh honey, did you see God’s face?” “Umm not quite…I got a great look at his ass though!” Moses most likely slept alone that night.

The moral of this story? God works in mysterious (and slightly gay) ways.

These are all great stories and funny, too. Or tragic, as the case may be. I would have included the story about the lady who complained to the king against the other lady who wouldn’t kill her son to be eaten. After all, they had already boiled and eaten the first lady’s son. See 2 Kings 6:26-29 Surely that deserves note!

I would caution, however, about myself, at least, making light of others’ beliefs. My Dad, who was a devout Sikh, used to tell me, ‘Before you laugh at someone else’s beliefs, think how your own look to them: You would rather be tortured to death than get a haircut. And you’re not even a hippie.’

So the gay thing has been established well in Christ period. But I completely accept the Harinder’s view on others belief, we’re don’t have any rights to dishearten others..

Yes Smith, I agree with you and what Mai has said. More than making fun, I think the blog post is a light-hearted humor.
